The Frontier Players Association celebrates their 31th Anniversary with a walking tour “Settling the Fair Fields”. Come and experience the trials and tribulations of the first settlers as they set roots in the Hocking Valley around Hunter’s Crossing.

Frontier Spirit 1799 presented each year in Alley Park, Lancaster Ohio in September by the Frontier Players Association






Village Smith
The Frontier Players Association is a living history group dedicated to presenting the history of the settling of Ohio, Fairfield County, and the town of New Lancaster in a fun and exciting format while being historically accurate. Children should be accompanied by adults at all times on the trails.

Scenes
Scenes will depict events that demonstrate the hardships and joys associated with starting a new life far from the comforts of home.

The Village
The 1799 Village will also be a significant attraction with informative and fun activities for children and adults alike.

Entertainment
Period musicians will play throughout the day on a variety of instruments including bagpipes.

Goods and Wares
Other 18th century activities and trades will be depicted as well as settlers selling their goods.

Concessions
Concessions will also be present with snacks, drinks, and food - including bean soup cooked in cast-iron kettles.



Christian Services
18th century Sunday services will be held as in past years, 9 a.m, with the offering being donated to a local charity. Services are open to the public.
